People Can Be Very Sick And Twisted
I read this in astonishment. That parents would go to such depths just so their sad, unmotivated kids can get good grades! It kinda takes living vicariously through one's children to whole new levels. How awful. In most cases the kids probably are not doing as well in school because they have psychotic parents who care more about the letter A than their own child's health.

Commonly reported side effects include difficulty sleeping, loss of appetite, irritability, stomachaches, headaches, blurry vision, nausea, dizziness, drowsiness and tics and tremors....
But as long as Johnny is getting straight A's, who cares?
Sad.
Ephedra - which is what makes Ritalin work is also what makes meth work. Of course it has a bunch of crazy side-effects! And of course kids can get hooked on it. You're making your kid a little druggie. Maybe kids are distracted (even the ones who ARE diagnosed) because they are KIDS and should be out playing and not stuck in school, sitting, for 8 hours and forced to learn the way only a percentage of the population leans and forced to do the work that is good for the median and so often be either a) bored or b) lost. So yeah, if our kids don't learn in one way and be happy with it, we're going to drug them until they fit the molds of our (and the government's) choosing. Great.
What kills me here is how parents would be shocked that, in the process of moving from middle school to secondary education, their kids' grades would take a dip from A to B.
I say put these parents on Ritalin. It sounds like they could use a boost in "brainpower" if they think it's going to be so effective.
This is where I let out an evil laugh signifying retributive justice.
