Am I Alone?

Please tell me I'm not the only one who thinks this way and notices these things. I just finished reading this article on how Saddam is urging Iraqis to unify. He also suggests that Iraqis not take revenge on the U.S. Okay. He is trying real hard to get people to forget his own crimes. Does anyone believe this guy for a second?

Saddam Hussein asking Iraqis to unify is like the KKK offering reparations. It's completely illogical. The sectarian violence would not be anywhere near what is is if Saddam had not exacerbated it with mass killings.

I'm definitely disgusted.

Furthermore, suggesting that Iraqis not take revenge on the U.S. is a blatant attempt to veer attention away from any of Saddam's crimes which are many.

I think I'm gonna go outside and jump up and down shouting now.

I hate to say it, but you are dead wrong here Esther. This man has come to terms with his past and is moving toward the future in an act of genuine love for his people. I say we intervene and call off the death penalty for this man, who is after all a creature of God. Let us turn the other cheek, or should I say Kurd population?

You're funny.

I want to hear all about your voting experience because I'm guessing this is your first election. Write a post, write a post!

Oh, okay!
It really wasn't that exciting- the one candidate about whom I was excited (and very much so) was sure to lose by a landslide weeks before, and the other candidate (DeWine) was exactly the sort of RINO I am unenthusiastic about (though I talked to him once and he was a really nice guy). E-Voting was great- I got a receipt so I could see the paper trail before me, and the issues were all typed before me on the computer screen so I could easily read them.

Nothing "Mr. Smith Goes to Washington"ish about it. I'll be sure to write a post.
